The hole in the base plate is not perfectly round, allowing the motor spindle to move back and forth. So when you start and run your motor, the spinner is wobbly. To be clear, the hole required a spacer - and no, the spacer is not the problem. I've tried three different kinds, and all result in the same off-center condition. Maybe this is why other manufacturers of carbon spinners have shifted to using aluminum base plates?
